There were plenty of rival fans thought so, even a few LSU posters on this board, not to mention enough Heisman voters that he got enough votes to place #6.

Personally I never once thought he was among the 6 best players in the nation or even the 6 best quarterbacks. I think he had a very good team around him on both sides and Alabama would probably have won with a better qb, even though the center had a horrible game.

As did the defense blowing coverages
as did the WRs getting no separation
as did the oline in pass pro
as did Rees calling the game

The RBs and special teams are the only units that had good games.
