imagine the arguments when there are a whole bunch of 10-2 and 9-3 teams being haggled over.

It will fix the problem of a team like FSU not being able to control their own destiny which makes people care about your complaints less.

You’re 10-2/9-3 and think you should’ve made it over the other 10-2 team? Who cares? Should’ve beat one of the teams you lost to. Kind of like Georgia this year. The cries for them are still there but given less credibility because they’ve should’ve beat Bama.

The problem I see coming with the 12 team playoff is having to potentially beat the same team 3 times. For example Washington/Oregon. Definitely a scenario where Oregon still gets in. What if Washington/Oregon end up facing off again in the playoff. Washington beats Oregon 2 out of 3 times but Oregon wins the national championship? Would make no sense.

At the end of the day, any given team should be able to control their destiny on the field and not by some bull shite eye test. This new playoff system gives us that somewhat.
