Unless they said doing everything to keep TRod was a condition of hiring I can't see a coach making a first priority retaining a guy he never met. And again as I said it looks TRob was there for Saban and only someone in the Saban tree would have kept him there. TRob doesn't seem like a guy so easily hurt that he would reject the guy cause he actually wants to meet him before offering the job.
