Why exactly does he come in now after a month off when our main guys should be replenished? Not that I'm complaining, just trying to understand the thought process.

Was probably contemplating a transfer and we were so desperate to move the ball that they played the most talented back we have.

We’ve seen it before in huge games when things get dire.

Maybe he got more practice reps in while Jase was being rested. Also, was Roydell hurt? I didn't read anything about him being unavailable leading into the game, but I didn't see him play in the game yesterday.

My guess - bowl practices are extended versus a regular work week and with Jase limited he probably got a lot more reps, probably was viewed as more capable by being able to get more practice reps than he had all year as the fourth back. Like it or not, once the season starts it's not easy for guys down the depth chart to work up barring injury.

He looks like the best back we've had in a while to be honest. Excited to watch him in 2024.
