About to go 0-3 after Ohio State stomps Misery tonight
Feel good about Georgia over FSU, but all others are toss-ups
Eh. Not really.
Kentucky was tied for 8th in SEC and Clemson was 6th in ACC
A&M tied for 7th in SEC Okie State was 2nd in BIG 12
If anything both should have been beaten more easily, so it points out the strength of the SEC that the two losses have been down to the wire.
Look at the matchups and the SEC should be underdogs in every one of the games going by records and rankings.

Bowl games meant a ton pre-BCS.
Not they didn't. Pre-BCS there was only one....MAYBE two games that could decide the National Championship. So, what has changed? We now have two games that can decide the National Championship. The mechanics haven't changed at all.

SEC started out bad last year too until we got to the games that mattered I.e citrus, outback (Reliaquest), NY6, and playoffs and we wrecked shop

You're missing the point. It didn't matter to fan bases if the game wasn't for the national championship. They loved the opportunity to play in notable bowls with great matchups. That doesn't exist anymore, ironically due to opinions like yours.

Bowl games are
rosters decimated due to portal / opt-outs for NFL ...
the CFP was the beginning of the end for bowl games not included in the playoff -

So why does it matter now?

I am not happy with expanding to 12.
That said, the difference is the Portal, NIL and big bucks in the NFL. Players are afraid to risk a supposed future to an injury in a bowl game so they opt out. Fans are not going to pay major dollars to pay to see a game played by 2nd and 3rd stringers. A lot of fans don't want to sit in front of a TV and watch 2nd and 3rd stringers play.
It is what it is. All of the younger fans have been screaming for change every 3-4 years and this is what change has gotten us.
