O’Brien wasn’t wrong though. Dude was complete arse. Now he’s serviceable. He still doesn’t strike me as a future NFL QB but he has time to prove internet badass dukeg7213 wrong

Hurts didn’t look like an NFL QB either but went on to get developed at OU and then found a system to suit his strengths.

Milroe may decide to take a similar path one day.

Milroe has one of the highest ceilings of any QB in the country including Daniels and Williams.

He was also incredibly raw as a passer and needed time to develop.

The issue to your point was that he was so incredibly raw and frankly unsuited to the BOB traditional style offense that he wasn’t entirely wrong.

Either Bama needed to ditch BOB (which was my preference) or Milroe was a bad fit.

Milroe was a developmental guy and BOB wasn’t the guy to develop a mobile RPO guy like he is.

One year starting for Milroe, JD had 3 years starting at Arizona ST and 1 year starting at LSU and didn't look like a NFL QB.

Year 5 starting JD matured and became great, his future as a NFL QB is still undetermined so let's give these guys the benefit of doubt.
