The modern era started in 2021. Paying players is legal now.

The programs willing to break the rules ruled the previous era. Oklahoma, Alabama, much of the SEC. But those programs are generally from very poor, backwards states. They will suffer in this era.

For the longest time Texas had its pick of the Texas talent and rated a #1 class. Now you think that it will get better?

And yet, we are going into the 4th year of the NIL era and Alabama has out-recruited Texas every year, including this year, according to the sources that are supposed to know

Every school cheated. You’re still 7th in SEC in championships in the modern era

Let's not act like the Longwhorns are Lily white. UT has paid players under the table as much as anyone in the past. They just haven't gotten a lot of return on their investment.
