Tuck,
I promise you that LSU fans know far more about Lord Saban than you do at this point. We know that he is a great coach. But, him having great talent means little in the vast scheme of things. See 2004 as a perfect example. That team was incredibly talented, yet lost 3 games because we did not have a solid QB.
Also, the most explosive offense Saban had at LSU was in 2001 with a bunch of Dinardo recruits. That was Saban's second year. With more talent later, the Davey-Reed combination was never duplicated.
My point is just this: there is no guarantee that you'll get as close to the NC game as you did this year, even under Saban. LSU fans should realize this as well. Again, with more talent than anyone in the country and playing in a weak conference, USC fails every year.

I don't doubt that you know Saban pretty well as a coach. However, a fatal flaw in alot of LSU arguments is comparing Bama to past LSU teams. There is no doubt yall have had a superior team for most all this decade. Having said that, Bama has an attitude of we will be back, and we will compete. When you believe it every year, no matter what, you make things happen eventually, especially when the good players start coming.
