Nobody sure raised any stink when Cincinnati got a playoff spot for going undefeated in the AAC.

Were they really one of the “4 best teams” that the ESPN/CFP cartel cite as criteria now?

Why are week acting like a 10 point win is huge? Bama had the lead at the beginning of the 4th quarter

You should ask this of the Cincy fans around here. Cincy’s issues are not my concern.

Their SOS was probably better that year than the shitty ACC anyway…

It's narrative.

But, week 2 and 3 were bad football.

27th ranked strength of schedule. Not in the same category as FSUnbelt

Baylor, Pitt and Utah all had 2-3 losses. They were the only close ones

A Gator fan coming to the aid of Free Shoes University. We live in strange times. Very strange!!!

Listen losing a guy that touches the ball on every play and losing a receiver doesn’t compare. Alabama still had another receiver capable of winning that game until Williams went down early. Losing Travis changed that team.

Fair enough

But they still could’ve beaten Cincinnati

Will it really be a true champion when it's all said and done? It could be a split NC if Florida Beats down Georgia. The degree of subjectivity will cast doubt on this year's NC. An undefeated team from a power 5 conference was left out-pure and simple while 2 other teams with a loss-one losing to the other got in. If Florida State beats a healthier Georgia team than the one Bama beat....the AP writers should vote them number one!!

They felt that in order to avoid the most heated backlash (clearly more influential than FSU) - they decided Bama/ Texas were a package deal this year.

That was too far a bridge for the committee to cross.

Alabama had a 1,000 yard receiver out in 2021.

What was Bama’s SOS that year?

Also, the committee said an injury to the QB was viewed differently than any other position.

I raised a stink at the time and still use it as an example for teams that don’t belong

overlook an asterisk win over Auburn and USF.

What does the asterisk denote?

TCU screwed FSU. Networks didn't want another blowout and they run the show.

So, tv ratings from the schools are more important than the schools?

The committee did exactly what it was asked. We have four teams in the playoff.

Of a system designed with 4 slots for 5 conferences...meaning AT LEAST ONE group is left out each year.
