I think the ball was already rolling in that direction, but his race mongering hissy fit was an important moment. I think NIL and transfers go hand in hand in the sense of the logic behind it. If coach A can make millions, why can’t his players get some translates to if coach A can take another job at any point, why can’t the player at least transfer once? Not a big fan of any of it but I do comprehend the reasoning.

I've always hated this line of thinking beacuse there's a difference in an adult professional who is signing a contract for his job/career and a student athlete who is attending a university and also playing football. People just have to find things to comlain about and CFB got caught in the crosshairs but that arguemtn has never sat right with me.

Also the ENTIRE concept of "well the schools make millions off the players it's not fair that they dont' get any" is so disengenuine it's maddening, not to mention it's patently false. Players got free tuition yearly (which that by itself is in the HIGH 5 figures if you stay 4 years), free housing, free food, free clothes, free medical care, a strong network/fraternity for post college life, an actual monetary stipend, and a televised on-field audition for a potential 8 figure job in 4 yeras. Not to meniton all the, ahem..."perks" that come from being a football player on campus. These guys are getting WELL into the 6 figures in total compensation and living the life while people on message baords are complaining that they don't get any money. It's just ridiculous. And now it's ruined the sport.
