Funny question. Bama/Auburn and OU/UT are the biggest for the fans, but those universities themselves are in love with each other and would never jeopardize their precious “rivalry” games. TAM gave up their biggest game just to throw Texas the finger and leave them in the wasteland the B12 became. A&M wouldn’t even honor the thought of scheduling another game, just like MIZ and kansas. That’s where the real hate is.

You don’t really know what you are talking about. When A&M left the Big 12, we approached the donghorns about continuing the rivalry. Their AD at the time, DeLoss Dodds refused. That is a fact that has been well documented. Years later, the donghorns approached A&M about continuing the game but A&M had already scheduled games for the next few years and did not have a vacancy in their schedule at that time. Plus A&M did not see how this could possibly benefit A&M.
Donghorns finally realized that the Big 12 was not the place to be and decided to follow A&M to the SEC.

I am glad the game is going to continue. I am looking forward to it. During my lifetime, the record between the two is about even. That first game next season will probably be one of the most watched games of the year. Lots of families in Texas, including mine, have family members that went to both schools. I think the majority of Aggies are excited about renewing the rivalry
