Notre Dame Received Sun Bowl Berth for the Wackiest Reason

Following Florida State’s College Football Playoff snub, there was a trickle-down effect for the rest of the ACC and Notre Dame. Instead of heading to either the Rose Bowl or Sugar Bowl as a CFP semifinalist, the Seminoles are slated to play in the Orange Bowl. As a result, each remaining ACC team (and the Fighting Irish) was knocked down a peg in terms of bowl destination.

Notre Dame fans swore they'd be so much better without BK, hell, half of this board swore Freeman was an upgrade.

I don’t dislike Kelly and I think he’s an upper tier coach, but depending on the bowl outcome you’re going to finish a half game better or worse than last year.
Alabama had an undefeated regular season and finished 12-2 in year 2 of Saban.
The two program trends in the first two years aren’t comparable at all.

I don't disagree, I just find it funny when people try to pretend that 19-7 is a bad record, when compared to some other rebuilds.
But then, I get that many of the "Alabama fans" who post here weren't around back then.
