To the contrary I’m perfectly fine with JD winning the Heisman. I’m just pointing out some rather glaring duplicity with many of the LSU fans here.

Surprise, surprise. I would say you are intellectually dishonest but you inbred gumps have no intelligence.

Agreed and you highlight my point…one needs to look at the numbers and other data than simply saying Penix is “deserving” of the Heisman because of his team going undefeated. Because at this point that is 100% the argument we are hearing from the Bama haters as to why FSU should be in the CFP and not Bama.
One can’t legitimately argue that FSU being undefeated is all that should matter with a close call in the CFP then turn around and claim JD should win the Heisman in a close call with Penix given Washington is undefeated…

I mean Penix does have his team undefeated and in the playoffs?

Record is one of the main considerations for CFP selection. It is not one of the main considerations for the Heisman.
Here's how I see it. FSU was incredibly unlucky and I was be furious if LSU were in that same position. It's understandable why their fans are mad. I don't think anybody thinks that FSU is a better team than Alabama at this point, but I also don't think Alabama is head and shoulders better than FSU. I think both teams had a legitimate argument for the last spot.

Lol Bama would run FSU off the field

No record doesn’t not factor as one of the main considerations. They have said as much, ergo why we don’t have Liberty as one of the 4. You tell me, Liberty is undefeated, why are they not in? Oh that’s right because of WHO they played.
Also historically team losses DO figure into the Heisman as well. You can look and it yourself. Generally the Heisman Trophy is going to the best player on one of, if not the best team.
I know you want to be Mr Know It All but your post here is just simply doesn’t hold water.

Exactly AND beat one of the other top Heisman Candidates head to head twice. Gee I'm seeing a lot of terms like undefeated and head to head suddenly start to not mean as much when it comes to JD getting the Heisman.
Again, I'm not saying JD shouldn't get the Heisman BUT I am mostly pointing out the folly in the "FSU should be in." argument a lot of exorcised LSU fans are trotting out.

Like they ran Texas and USF and Arkansas, and Texas A&M and Auburn off the field?

Sure it does. I'm pretty sure this is the first time an undefeated P5 champion is going to be left out of the CFP.

Main consideration =/= only consideration. Sure, SOS factors in, particularly with respect to G5 teams.

The fact that Alabama fans are equating an individual award vs a playoff appearance is laughable, at best.
Almost as bad as so many of you being confused about the differences between a G5 and P5 team.
The collective ignorance of the Alabama fanbase continues to astound me.

By the logic of some here…shouldn’t Penix win the Heisman?
I realize this is a joke, but still:
Michael Penix (WASH) - 307/466 4,218 yds, 33 TD
Bo Nix (ORE) - 336/435 4,145 yds, 40 TD
Jayden Daniels (LSU) - 236/327 3,812 yds, 40 TD AND - 1100 yard rushing.
SOS
[10] Daniels
[11] Penix
[52] Nix
As I've said here, I would vote for Daniels, but it might be closer than some think, especially with the nostalgia surrounding the last season of the Pac.
Good point, and then when you add in Daniels' 1,100 yards rushing and nation-leading yards per carry and nation-leading yards per pass and yards-per-play - he's a cinch.

No, I feel like I’ve stated my comparison numerous times here and in your zeal to have some sort of pot shot at Bama for making the playoffs, you just refuse to see the duplicity here. You’re trying to say in one breath that FSU should be in based off being undefeated, as if nothing else should matter…not who they played to get to that record, nothing(Where’s the gripe for Liberty if that’s all that matters?) But then you want to turn right around and say an award that generally almost always goes to the best player on one of the best teams if not the best team, by using the argument that record should NOT matter in that case.

Ive been told the level of competition is way down in the SEC this season so any Heisman winner from this conference would get the *, Penix deserves it. Give it to him.

Yes Sir! You get it and it is refreshing. The LSU fans want it both ways and in that, they are blind to their dual tracked logic.
