If by chance bama loses the Melt (going on 30 days and counting) will die out. However, if bama walks away with the trophy, the rant will continue indefinitely. Then you’ll hear all the asterisk crap spewed by the rabble.
The JD heisman will quiet it down some. They’ll stomp Wisconsin and all will be well until the results of the bama game.

Make sure you guys throw a few more logs on the fire here and there just to keep it going. Maybe respond with a few more alters just to make sure

No most of these guys are heading up to TENN somewhere. The Battles of Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge where the great General Grant routed General Braggs Secessionist confederate forces took place on 24-25 November 1863 (. So all these Bama posters that dress up in confederate regalia and do civil war reenactments couldn't do that one during football season. They will go do it this time and see if they can beat General Grant this time.

I'm just impressed the route you decided to take with that statement...
You do you, I guess.

Well I have found many Bama fans here are in fact neo confederates, as are many other fans of many SEC teams. Hell, if you listen to Paul Finebaum's show it is quite obvious to me.
While I am Conservative in the Reagan sense or more so like the Catholic conservative movement by the likes of William F. Buckley (who founded the National Review), my family immigrated here around around the years 1890-1900 to New Orleans and were Unionist in the sense that they did not adopt the Lost cause narrative that emerged throughout much of the South in the post civil war period and well into the 1920's with a resurgent know-nothing movement and KKK that was not only directed at Blacks and Jews, but also Catholics (which I am). That was imprinted in my great-grand parents (anti-secessionist/confederate ideology) and was passed on to me and that is just how I feel.
Others may feel differently and that is ok. I am an absolutist on the 1st amendment (save threats towards someone else). I agree that I disagree with many folks here on SEC Rant who still have sympathies for the likes of Lee, Jackson, Bedford-Forest, Jeb Stuart, Bragg, etc, etc, etc.

No I think you need to read my entire post Atxgump Nathan Bedford Forest if you are going to quote it selectively. Those secessionist confederates are your people, not mine, as is Duke.
Like I said too bad General Sherman rather than pivoting from GA and going to SCAR did not go through Alabama and then finish in MS.
So am I clear now.

Weird melt.
Not a melt at all
1) I think Bama's football team is 1 of the 4 best
2) I think they will beat Michigan.
3) and I think Texas will play hell in beating Saban in a rematch (I think Texas beats UW)
I said that before the CFP was announced. Bama's resume is the best of the 4 teams. I said that to several of the few rational Bama posters here such as "Summer of George"
With all that said, I have a general disdain for everything in the state of Alabama, just to show you I am not just making this about Alabama, you can throw in MS as well. That is the culture of the state, most of the people there (not all but most), the corrupt nature of how the league office is run, etc, etc, etc.
So I have not ever nor will I ever attend an LSU football game in Tuscaloosa, at all, I drive through state and thank God I got through it.
And you may feel the same way about me and most people in Louisiana, at least us Southern Louisiana folks who are Papist. That is ok, nobody has to like anyone. One can be civil and not like someone.
I am 100% opposed to any LSU idiot fan threatening visiting Alabama fans who come to the LSU game next year (I said so after some fools were saying that after the Bama game a few weeks back). When you people come to LSU games, I do not talk or associate with any of you. I do not wish you any harm and wish you a safe trip but for the most part, I despise everything in the state of Alabama. That is just a fact. You might feel the same way about pretty much everything in the state of Louisiana. And that is ok.
So not a melt at all. Just the facts.

Paints with a broad brush. Hates two states. Talks about the culture of these two states without elaborating. Thinks people are defined by where they live.
So, either you are a bigot or you are melting. Which is it?
