Does this make FSU want to jump to sec or do they pout for 20 years about this?

If Sec gets you preferential treatment then yes.

But the feelings are still hurt.

Interesting.

I’ve said it multiple times already but they can look no farther than Bobby not wanting to join the SEC when they had the chance 30 years ago.

Yeah I was gonna mention that too.

He thought it would be an easier path to the NC in the ACC as opposed to joining the SEC.

FSU is an easy in if they want to join FSU. Apparently LSU fans will be marching en masse to the SEC headquarters to support their acceptance into the SEC.

Billboards alone might do the trick.

That has nothing to do with it going forward.
You know this, right ?

The preferential treatment is not for the SEC. It’s for specific programs and FSU isn’t one of them regardless of what conference they play in. This will be on full display the next time an SEC program not named UGA or bama tries to back into a playoff. It already happened with their last subjective polling system in 2004.

We should check with LSU fans, they have been melting since Alabama got in back in 2011.

It absolutely does. The BIG 10 and SEC will always get the benefit of the doubt over the rest of the conferences. FSU could have been in the SEC but chose the easy path. We can add in FSU voting not to expand the playoff this year and one of their board of trustees saying the ACC is a third rate conference.

Those frickers made their own bed back in the early 90s. The ACC wasn't even a major conference (their champ was playing in the Citrus and Gator Bowls).

I can’t find an article on it but they’ve said it at least 3 or 4 times on ESPN.

I found it. The "alliance" between the ACC/B10/P12 voted against 2023 expansion after OU and Texas announced they were joining the SEC.

Moving to the SEC won’t change their name to Bama. There is no SEC bias. It’s Bama bias

If it makes dollars it makes sense. They will evaluate that.

You’re being obtuse.
