LSU fans are shouting from the rooftops about the Heisman when they lost 3 games LOL
This is the equivalent of them jerking off Joe Burrow still while he recovers in the hospital
Well let me try to put a different take on it. LSU throughout the Miles years was loaded on defense and would hit the hell out of you, always excellent on Special teams but while LSU was also loaded with offensive talent, QB play, offensive philosophy of Miles resulted in lack of offensive production.
So if JD wins the Heisman, that will be LSU's 2nd Heisman QB in 5 years which in my view will make LSU a destination for both high ranked HS QBs and portal QB's in the future. Given LA HS football produces elite WR and has done so for a long time (2 of the top 10 on the NFL board Malik from LSU and Coleman for FSU played HS ball in LA and BT JR of LSU might also turn out to be late 1st rounder). Don't forget that 2019 LSU/Bama game with Jefferson and Chase, along with Marshall on LSU's squad + Devonta Smith on Bama's (all LA HS products)

You think anyone will remember that LSU won the West in 2022 in 2 years? They will be able to tell you who won the heisman that year though.
Take that same logic, and apply it to 2023. You’re welcome.

Oh yeah? Who won the Heisman in 2013? Dont look.
I know FSU won the title, though I had to think about it for a second.
Point being, no one other than LSU fans will care about it in 5 years. Championships are what is remembered in football. Not awards.

Another QB who is legendary in our state but for mostly the wrong reasons

Don’t have to. It was Jameis. Couldn’t tell you who played in the SECCG though.
Thanks for proving my point.

This is so fricking dumb I can’t believe someone posted it.
Heisman trophy winner is a thing that sticks with players for decades.

No one else cares about your 9-3 QB that couldn't finish the game against daddy. Just the way it is.
So everyone remembers the heisman win from 10 years ago?
Again, thanks for proving my point.
