for the gift that Jermaine Burton has been to the program in 2023.
He has a chance to have 1000 yards receiving this year and has the highest yards per reception (22.70) in the SEC

Alot of UGA fans claimed it wasnt a loss and he would never be a good 1st WR in the SEC

It's funny that Bama fans think Jermaine Burton is a plus.
He's still what he's always been... a solid #2/#3 WR.
The fact that he's your #1 WR is a statement to the fact that your WR corps ability has taken a dive. He's not a Metchie/Williams/Smith/Cooper/Ridley/Ruggs/Jeudy/Waddle/Jones.
He's not even Ladd McConkey.
Bama's WR issues are the real issue for their team. I think Milroe has turned into a pretty good passer. If he had Metchie and Williams he'd be leading the heisman talk. But he has a #2/#3 WR as his best target, so he looks pedestrian as a passer.

It'd be interesting to know if any receiver in SEC history has ever had 180 yard receiving games for two different programs, but I'm still glad that Burton is gone. He seems like a really self-conscious and insecure dude. The amount of trash talking and prancing around that he does on the field is embarrassing.

Can't we all acknowledge that it worked out for all 3 parties?
He was a great WR for us here but decided to quit anyway and go somewhere else. Had he returned in 2022 he would have been fighting for touches with AD Mitchell, Ladd, Brock, and others or he could go to bama and be more featured and play with Bryce. I believe that was the main reason anyway, he preferred a QB like Bryce over stetson. Oh well. Thsi year his touches would've been eaten into even more.
I don't think it's unfair to say UGA, Bama, and jermaine all came out fine in the deal.

The dude has the seventh-highest QBR in the nation, even with our collection of supposed also-rans as his receivers. He's essentially tied with Carson Beck. But shhh, don't tell anyone that. We are fine with everyone continuing to think he's a liability and all you have to do to beat us is stack the box to stop the run.

He’s no LADD but he’s ok

Count me among them.
He is a solid #2/#3 guy. I hated losing him for the depth. But to be honest, I hated losing AD Mitchell to Texas more... as AD Mitchell beat out Burton. Both were beat out by Ladd McConkey. And I'd take Dom Lovitt over both too.

Plus he looks real cute in those white pantyhose he wears now.

QBR is a stupid stat invented by ESPN, which is why it's only used by ESPN. It's also not the right stat to use when talking about passing because it takes running into account.
Milroe has 2500 pass yards on the season. He has been fairly efficient, but solid QB's (which he is) in running offenses often are. Bama is a running offense because they don't have the WR to be a passing offense. Not because McClellan and Williams are world beaters. They're just better options than the WR are.
Carson Beck has a thousand more pass yards because he does have a lot of good options to catch the ball. I don't think Beck is particularly better than Milroe as a QB, but unlike Milroe he has better targets (especially with Bowers factored in).
This isn't a crack on Milroe like you interpreted it as. Its' simply a recognition that Bama has a WR deficiency this season.

Burton left because he knew he wouldn’t get much playing time. But you go ahead and live your fantasy. Add that he’s all hood rat. Punching women is pretty low rent.

Another strange take since UGA only has ONE WR ranked in the top 20 in the SEC in receiving yards and Bammer has 2
