Bjork did a good job on the baseball hire as well as a few non revenue coaches. But if he landed on Stoops after being in touch with 30-40 others, then yeah, he ended up with the wrong final answer.
I don’t think it would have been Charlie Strong or Tom Herman bad, but more like Jimbo continued.

I have no idea how Ross Bjork got a job and still has a job at A&M. He completely bungled the NCAA investigation into Ole Miss and hired Matt Luke.

I think stoops is 10X the coach that jimbo is, he does more with less…
The difference I think for a lot of these coaches that do good at smaller different level schools is they have guys in there program for 3-4 years plus a redshirt and then the produce very good at the end of there college career really year 4 and 5. And when u get to the talent level that some of the bigger higher rated student athletes you only get them for 3 years and you can’t waste one of those as a redshirt, so you have to learn to play these younger guys that are not quiet there knowledge wise and take the lumps the freshman year and let them learn so by year 2 they are seasoned. And money year 3 they are rolling… you can’t bring these guys along slowly and ensure they no every play and every call and all the scenarios until you are very deep and then can revert back to old ways and bring them along slow and only let the more experienced guys in the game.
Only coaches that are able to do it this way at imo are bama and Georgia
Gotta find some balance I see this from Kelly imo he doesn’t wanna let some of his younger ballers in bc they don’t know his entire playbook or all the calls. At some point coaches have to give a little and meet in the middle.
Idk if stoops can do that bc he has his system but yall are crazy if you think he can’t coach better then jimbo or is the same caliber, jimbo could not win at any level without far superior talent
