Maybe, but it is factually correct. his main point was that it is still relatively early in Kirby's career compared to Saban. Saban has been at Alabama for something like 15 years and Kirby at Georgia for 7 years? If Kirby keeps it up he might pass Saban, but it is still early.

Saban had been HC for MANY years before winning a natty. Smart almost won one in his second year as HC anywhere in an Era where he had to play 3 very good opponents AFTER the regular season. Smart did win one in his 6th and 7th season and is close to winning one in his 8th. Saban had years as a HC before doing what Smart has done.

It’s almost like he got a front row seat on how to HC from the best to ever do it, then went to one of the easiest programs to succeed at

Dude did a great job biding his time and pouncing on a good situation. Does make me wonder if he could do the same coming into a place in bad shape though

Very true, in his 6th-8th seasons Saban went a respectable:

10-2 at MSU
8-4 at LSU (first year)
10-3 (improves)

Absolutely solid, but also totally eclipsed by his later numbers at bama and Kirby's current numbers in years 6-8.
