Alabama fans, whether we played for the team, went to the school, worked in admin, or merely support the team, etc... are all permitted to denominate the Crimson Tide as "we" because we all collectively, over the many, many decades, have made Alabama what it is.
WE are the Crimson Tide. Unlike teams like lsu whose fans are lukewarm and fair-weather, Alabama fans have stood by her at all times and in all circumstances.

I have looked at this picture several times. Even posted it on this sports message board. But your comments made me look at it again. What is that in the top left corner? The translucent yellow haze? Is that the souls of all LSU fans who were clinging to Jayden Daniels drifting away into “next season”?

No, I didn't. I went to a college in the Birmingham area. That doesn't preclude me from being a Bama fan though, no more than it means you are a fan of a football team just because you went to school at a college with a football team.
For example, due to the lsu football team being a shitshow and laughing-stock for most of its existence, a large majority of students at lsu, historically, were not fans of the team.
In the 70's, there were just as many Alabama fans, native Louisianans, attending lsu as there were lsu fans attending lsu.
It is the nature of a coon-arse to be disloyal.

Good for you. Seriously. The whole “sidewalk” thing does get beat to death here though. One of the richest people I consider a friend spent two years drinking at Bevill State Community College for his college career before he worked at a gas station, side hustled and saved, then started buying little local businesses in the area that were going out/verge of going out of business for pennies on the dollar, turning them profitable, then selling them for 10x what he paid for them, and repeating. And I just get by ok doing what we are taught to do working for someone else. And for the record I graduated from Mississippi State and came back and got an MBA from Alabama that I don’t use.
And I didn’t even hate LSU until I found this place.
