The weird grace for Tennessee this year continues to be a mystery

It's weird - even Sagarin has them above Ole Miss, despite Ole Miss having a tougher schedule AND a better record than them. The analytics keep seeing SOMETHING that we don't, and it's weird. Their best wins are over 6-4 A&M and Kentucky.

Austin Peay and UTSA are 8-2 and 7-3, respectively, so maybe they're getting a bit of a weird bump by having their earlier season rent-a-wins were a bit tougher than most teams'? Maybe?

Don't you remember when Heupel was Mizzou OC he would get the offense to score a lot of points when playing against weak defense and non-SEC teams but when the team played teams with very good defense the offense struggled to score many points. Just like the last game between Mizzou and Tennessee. Then look back the game before the Mizzou game. That is the same Heupel I remembered when he was the OC for Mizzou.

Doesn't really matter. Tennessee will lose this weekend and probably fall out of the top 25 in every poll. Then they'll beat Vandy and slide back in.
