Will he transfer now and quit on his team again?

A mercenary hired by schools disenchanted with their coach? That’s cool,I like it.

Why are some of you so unpleasant? I’ll never get it.
No reason to malign the kid.
He didn’t quit; he was injured.
And Fisher lied about it.

Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson did not practice throughout the week leading up to Saturday’s 51-10 win over Mississippi State after sustaining a total of three cracked ribs from the South Carolina and Ole Miss games, Johnson confirmed with The Eagle.
Former A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher, who was fired Sunday morning, said twice during the week leading up to the Mississippi State game that he expected Johnson to play and that he was practicing.
“I did not take one snap [during the week leading up to Mississippi State],” Johnson told The Eagle. “I knew I was not going to play in that game the whole week.”
Johnson suffered his first cracked rib during the second quarter of A&M’s 30-17 win over South Carolina. He still played in the 38-35 loss to Ole Miss and suffered two additional cracked ribs during that game, Johnson confirmed.
He remained in the game throughout, leading the Aggies on a last-minute drive that ultimately led to a blocked game-tying field goal attempt.
All three injured ribs are on his left, throwing side. Johnson said he is unsure if he'll be able to recover in time to return this season, but said he was most likely going to be out of practice again this upcoming week.
Prior to the week’s practice, at Fisher’s Monday press conference, he said he expected Johnson to play against Mississippi State.
“Max finished the game,” Fisher said. “Had a couple of tough shots. We’ll wait and see how it goes, but I’m planning on him playing, hopefully. We’ll see as it goes, day-by-day.”
During the weekly Southeastern Conference coaches teleconference, Fisher double-downed on his assessment.
When asked if Johnson was still expected to play Saturday, Fisher said, “Yeah. He’s at practice. We’re at practice and doing what we need to do.”
Backup quarterback Jaylen Henderson, making his first collegiate start, took the first-team reps in practice and ultimately started the game and completed 11 of 19 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 60 yards and two touchdowns.
After the game, Henderson said Johnson split reps with him through practice. Fisher reiterated that Henderson had taken “a lot” of the first-team reps in practice after the win.
“[Henderson] took a lot of first-team reps, because we rested Max,” Fisher said. "We knew Max was banged up. It was funny, because Max, when he got hit, he got hurt on a quarterback sneak. That's where he got hit. He’s capable — and that’s the other thing, I think he’s capable of coming back, but we didn’t know because we had guys play with it — some guys, how bad, you know, he’s shook up. So, we didn’t wait until the end of the week. [Henderson] took first-team reps early, because we rested Max for a couple of days and then we were thinking if we could get him back in, but it just wasn’t right. We weren’t going to take that chance. He wasn’t healthy enough."
Since stepping into the starting role at halftime of A&M’s win over Auburn, Johnson has completed 62.1% of his passes for 1,452 yards and nine touchdowns. Pro Football Focus graded Johnson’s passing game as an 80.6, which ranks 40th in the country. Johnson was, however, behind an offensive line that has allowed 33 total hits on quarterbacks this season, which is the most in the country according to PFF.
