This could be posturing. We have loaded talent at DL and making him interim HC is a smart move to keep guys around.

Yes, and Henderson balled out in his place.
Also, Petrino plucked Henderson out of the portal. With Petrino taking thr reigns of offense, he'll 100% use his own guy overax.

Yes, this was a good move to keep the players focused. Everyone expected Petrino but doing this is the smart play.
He is loved by the players and they dont want him to be embarrassed so they will show out for LSU.

E Rob is probably the only coach that could keep the team together to finish out the season. Dudes are going to ball out for him, especially the D. Should be a very interesting game in Tiger Stadium, D motivated to put some Heisman hopes on ice and Petrino given full reign and turned loose against a Kelly coached LSU.

This seems calculated to send a message to everyone involved that Petrino will not be considered as Jimbo's replacement.
