Elko will be their top choice I'd imagine.

But I can’t see him leaving Oregon to go to aTm - Oregon is a better job

If A&M wanted to go after a top Pac 12 coach, why not go after Kalen DeBoer instead? Oregon’s one of those self-sustaining programs at this point. Three of their previous coaches, Chip Kelly, Willie Taggart, and Mario Cristobal all did well at Oregon and then haven’t done too hot after leaving to coach elsewhere. DeBoer took over a Washington team in disarray and turned them into a top 10 team instantly.

I would like to see more of Lanning post Bo Nix before giving him the kwan.
