At some point, it was an abysmal throw. It was a bad call for the situation. Just run it and punt.

The pass should have not been thrown. I believe the route was run incorrectly ....They have trying to simplify the game for this group.

One pass route over simplified ..

Compare Alabama and LSU running that route ....Those receivers make the CB's drop off .....The pass is completed two to three yards beyond the LOS. We stand in place ....behind the LOS ...

This is EXACTLY what I thought they were gonna do after running up the middle for very little gain on 1st and 2nd downs. Just run it again and punt it out of danger.

Then our brilliant offensive (in multiple respects) “brain” trust chooses to throw the ball in a predictable passing situation (3rd and long) at the 5-yard line.

Absolute insanity.
