I think the success today with the offense pissed me off more than what we saw under Enos. We would probably be 6-3 or 7-2 right now if we had just kept some variation of this offense as opposed to do a complete 180 to Enos’ system. That’s 100% on Pittman.

Loved what I saw with Guiton though and if he continues to have success over the next three games then I assume we see one more year with Sam with KG getting the OC job full time.

If you haven’t seen the video of KG and KJ celebrating after the game, you should. Really emotional to see how much this meant to them both.

Ditto.

It looked like Guiton almost entirely scrapped the Enos system and went back to the scheme we’ve been running the last few years. More lateral gaps runs, one read passes, RPOs, and putting KJ in positions to be successful as opposed to forcing him into a read progression heavy system that he’s ill-suited for.

I’m happy we won, but this makes the Enos hire all the more glaring of a knock on Pittman for making it in the first place.

This. This win is giving me very mixed emotions.

I'm happy we won and even more happy for the players to finally get that monkey off their backs. As tough as this season has been for us as fans, its 10x tougher as a competitive player to keep getting so close and coming up short.

But I'm left with that nagging feeling that all of us (other than hawgfaninnc) are having, which is that we could have at least 3 - if not 4 - more wins right now with even a SLIGHTLY competent offense that we saw today.

We'd probably still have lost to aTm, Bama, and LSU, but even those games were winnable with a slightly better offense than we fielded.

The "what ifs" from this season will be the worst I can remember in a long time. The West is down and we've been in every game even with an anemic offense, I can't help but imagine where we'd be right now with one of our better offenses from the recent past and this defense.
