Two-time national champion Keegan O’Toole highlights the lineup at 165 pounds. He’s the favorite to three-peat and become one of, if not the best wrestler in program history.

Rocky (197) and Zach Elam (285) return as the dynamic duo at the backend of the lineup. Let’s not forget about Peyton Mocco (174) either. The Tigers are loaded this season. Oh yeah, Brock Mauller is still here (157).

Do you think if we wrestled with the BI6 conference, we would get some of those top kids from Pennsylvania, Ohio etc? Just seems like we only need maybe 2 more top kids to win a natty.

Nobody is passing Ben as the greatest Mizzou grappler any time soon.

No one should ever refer to their conference by that ridiculous marketing.
Seems like a little bit of NIL deployed would get us over the hump for an NC in wrestling.

The Open Mat NCAA Division I Wrestling Rankings
Just started watching wrestling last year. Two of my friends are youth coaches and they talk about wrestling a lot, so I went to a tournament. It’s was pretty easy to learn the point system. The hardest thing for me to understand is how a referee decides between a 2 or 3 second nearfall and sometimes I don’t understand why they start in the referee’s position.
The first match I watched my friends 8 year old was down 2 points with 30 seconds left. He got an escape then a take down and came back and won.
I think because matches usually last around 10 minutes it makes it more fun to watch. The worst part of a tournament is sometimes you have to wait 45 minutes to an hour between matches.

apparently we would have to trade the worst half of our team for most of the best half of theirs if we wanted an NC this year.
I still wonder if a minimal NIL investment would put us in contender position every year.
