Michigan sign stealing story is a lot about nothing!

First, sign stealing has been a part of the game since the beginning of sports, which explains why coaches cover their mouth when calling in a play.
Secondly, if all it takes is to buy a ticket to a game and go video tape your game, then shame on you for being stupid enough to make it that easy! Let's not forget that all you have to do is buy a subscription to school XYZ and you can see every game anyway!
Thirdly, if you think Michigan is the only school doing this, then you clearly have no clue what happens behind the scenes in college football. Compared to the other illegal stuff that really occurs behind the scenes, this is equivalent to getting a parking ticket.
Lastly, I can't stand Harbaugh, but the reality is if Michigan was 2-6 and not 8-0 with a legitimate shot to win the NC, this wouldn't even be a story. There isn't one Division 1 powerhouse team that isn't cheating its arse off, because if you don't, you won't be a powerhouse for very long.
The old adage "if you ain't cheating, you ain't tryin" should really be the motto for all big time D1 college football programs!

Yeah, I have a feeling they aren't the only team doing this and many assholes are puckering right now.

Once I was pulled over for speeding on the interstate. The truth was that the cars in front of me were also speeding, and yet I was the only one pulled over. I pointed this out to the state trooper. I still had to pay the fine.

My thoughts on this, if sign stealing helps a ton in winning games, then most SEC programs would be (or are) doing it. If they aren't, it tells you how much it's worth. Basically, the SEC programs have already vetting most forms of cheating and have a good idea of what works and what isn't worth the effort.

They first put communication in helmets in the NFL in 1994. That’s 29 years ago.
And yet we still do not have it in NCAA division 1.
The reason? It’s not cost. Come on.
It’s because coaches want there to be signals to steal. Plain and simple. They’re willing to signal in plays, because they believe they can be better at sign stealing.
