Didn’t they tie and lose the head to head? In like 1971 or something?

The fact they have to play each other each year is why they do not have more.

But UGA is a johnny come lately they said
They didn't win anything for 41 years they said
What if I told you...UGA is actually the 2nd best program in the history of the SEC?

You’d be wrong.

It was '76 and it was a retroactive title when the NCAA made Mississippi State forfeit games for playing with an ineligible player. UGA beat KY that year 31-7 and therefore had the tiebreaker. They were given a co-championship.

well, it's not tennessee and it damn sure aint florida or auburn. LSU is really the only other program wiht a small claim but it still wouldn't hold up overall

Tennessee was for a long time
LSU had a great argument the last 5-10 years
But today, in 2023, UGA is easily #2 behind Bama

I’m curious what the case to be made for UGA #2 All-time is. Which is what he said. “All-time”. Which means 1920 is just as relevant as 2020
UT has you beat in pretty much every category.

Surely teams on this list aren’t losing back to back games against teams not on this list? Surely history means so much today that this could never happen.

Sigh. If you were actually curious, you would do even the slightest tiniest bit of research which would point you to the proper conclusion. I'll go ahead and do it for you though. UT has less wins, less SEC titles, less NCs (legit ones)

Tennessee Georgia and LSU are all right next to each other
