Just looked it up. I figured they updated after midnite.

i'm not worried about it and like I said in the gamethread. If you look at the box score stats, we were lucky to only lose by 6.

You can't have more turnovers than made field goals going into halftime.

Not going to win many games letting the opponent shoot 48% in the game.

Grant Nelson has to get better at offensive rebounding and calling for a post up. He's too skilled to just disappear for long stretches.

I will say this though. Our passing in transition and in the half court offense needs to improve.

It was a good game. Tonight.

Still #1 in offense. Moved up to #128 in defense but we are steadily climbing!!

Musselman's roster construction approach is basically to amass as much talent as possible and figure out what to do with it later. They always start slow while he figures out what to do with the players he has.

Yep that's true and it seems to work for them.

We are 128th in 'scoring defense" or total points given up overall, this doesn't take into account the caliber of team you've played or adjust for pace, we play faster than most. That's why adjusted defense is much better it adjusts for pace.

In adjusted defense we are 24th.

Based on our performance the first 4 games without preseason/predictive numbers factored in. We have improved over 100 spots the last 2 games.

Torvik with preseason/predictive numbers has us 16th in defense. Without them 128th.

The defense definitely looks better these past two games, hopefully, it continues to improve, we play some really good offenses coming up. Purdue is #1 in offense and Arizona is 8th.

Good news - we'll know for sure how good (or bad) we are on defense after the 11 day stretch in December : offensive #1 Purdue, #4 Creighton, #8 Arizona.

I forgot about Creighton, they're loaded on offense too.

Purdue and Arizona are also both in the top 10 in adjusted defense too.

Gotta hope those predictive numbers are going to be closer to the reality. I don't think they can be quite that good, but with this offense anything in the top ~40 will suffice. Hopefully the first two games were iust a bunch of guys not used to playing for Oats thinking they could slack on defense if they were balling on offense.

Estrada & Sears needs to see the floor BETTER. Estrada needs to work on setting others up because he can get his ANYTIME. Scoring is very effortless for him.

Davin Cosby & Latrell Wrightsell are some good defenders.

Walters grew a couple or three inches to 6 ft 10 and may still be growing. He's young and needs to put on weight and get stronger is the main thing I see.

Give him a year let him come back at 215 or 220, he might be another inch or so taller and with his shooting touch he'll be a player.

We win 2 of 3 and I’m booking a final 4 hotel.
