Mark Sears has 2 steals through 2 games this year, Estrada has 4 steals through 2 games and Burnett has 1 steal through 3 games, we arent missing anything. Sure Burnett scored 20 in the first half tonight but then he scored 0 in the second half, it's not only from game to game he's wildly inconsistent its from half to half.

Lmao do you think steals are a good way to measure defense?

Did you watch the Houston game?

Bradley played more minutes than Burnett and spent more time guarding Sasser, but all you heard about was Burnett

Id rather have Bradley back than Burnett if we are wanting guys that transferred back. We could use a backup PG. I think getting Wrightsell was an upgrade over Burnett.

Its not a bad way. The good defenders that are guards usually have a lot of steals, definitely more than 10 in a season. Estrada has 4 through 2 games.

It depends on how you get the steals. If you're cheating passing lanes, getting a couple of steals, but blowing multiple assignments per game it's hard to say you're a good defender. Can't just go off the counting stat

Show me a guard thats good at defense that doesn't get many steals. Its a fine stat to go by when you're talking about Burnetts lack of them and how he should get a ton of them having a 6’9 wingspan or whatever he has. Steals should be his specialty. He shouldve gotten more than 4 blocks last season too.

Kel'el Ware

Whats crazy is nick smith and Ware was on the same high school team. Little rock has produced some serious basketball talent in the past few years.

Wares knock was his Effort.

I thought Ware was gonna go to Arkansas when he entered the portal because of that. Yall having Mitchell probably hurt yall like us having Bediako hurt us. He wanted to start right away wherever he went.

Even at oregon, he only avg 15 minutes/game.

With numerous games of little playing time.

He could have been a solid top 10 nba pick if he wasnt lazy.

Ware was backing up N’faly Dante at Oregon, Dante's one of the best centers in the country, when Oregon played Georgia the first game of this year Dante got 16 points and 21 rebounds, so Ware wasn't gonna get much playing time there.

Ware’s looked really good at Indiana this year and is starting. He was a top 5 recruit in his class.

Just for additional context - this question was about scheduling Friday night games during high school football playoffs (and referenced the fact that Nate’s daughters went to a school in the playoffs). The press conference did stray into some Alabama football related questions at times, but this was not one of them.

Did he watch the game? Or just looking at the box score? Believe it or not, for the most part you get 2 freethrows when you get fouled while shooting. Keep shooting jump shots vs driving to the basket. See which team gets the most ft shot.

Before the game started:

Free Throw Att: 34.0 avg • 1st SEC • 8th NCAA – All Muss teams have ranked among NCAA top 20 in FTA
