Doing it for viewership, but most fans of the P12 teams that are in it don't care to watch it. Hell, even the players of those teams don't typically give two shits.

So now your mid major #1 seed who wins 30 games but loses to a lower seed in a conference tournament upset can’t even look forward to the NIT

Why change it? Nobody cares about the NIT anyways. Last time Bama was in it most of us here didn’t even care and were rooting for us to lose so we could fire our coach

Robert “Rah Rah” Scott played for @AlabamaMBB from 1977-80 and left his name across multiple statistical categories for career and single-season accomplishments. Scott started three years for Alabama head coach C.M. Newton, but led the team in free-throw shooting percentage four years, led the team in assists and steals his junior and senior years, and finished with 1,321 career points. However, the 6-foot-1 guard, who won a state championship as a junior for Parker High School, left an even greater legacy as a leader of young men. Following his collegiate career, Scott later became the head coach at West End High School (Birmingham) in 1987 and won the Class 6A state championship in 1996 with a 48-39 victory over Auburn. Alabama head coach Mark Gottfried lured Scott back to his alma mater in 1998 as an assistant. Sadly, Scott’s homecoming took a tragic turn when he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 1999 and died May 9, 2001. So in his memory, Robert “Rah Rah” Scott is here to remind you the 2023-24 basketball season tips off in 10 days.

When the NBA season started earlier this week, @AlabamaMBB had nine players on team rosters which is substantially more than just 10 years ago when the program only had three. Brandon Miller (Charlotte), Herb Jones (New Orleans), Noah Clowney (Brooklyn), Collin Sexton (Utah), Kira Lewis (New Orleans), Joshua Primo (Los Angeles Clippers), JD Davison (Boston), Keon Ellis (Sacramento) and Charles Bediako (San Antonio) have ushered in a new generation of talent from the Crimson Tide with all nine players joining the professional ranks in just the last five years. In the fall of 2013, the only former Alabama players that were on opening-day NBA rosters were Gerald Wallace (Boston), Mo Williams (Portland) and Alonzo Gee (Cleveland). So the nine current Alabama players on NBA rosters are here to remind you the 2023-24 basketball season tips off in nine days.

I watched a little bit of the Arkansas and Purdue game...

I am impressed with the athletes Arkansas has. I'm also impressed with the fight Purdue showed.

I can't wait to see us in action.

Arkansas looked good. They might actually live up to the regular season hype this year. I could see them winning the SEC

We're winning the SEC, so that's not possible.

They did look good today.

We'll see.

I didn't think Purdue was Top 10 good.
