We had a 10 point lead. There was 1:08 on the clock and running. They were just shy of midfield. They had 1 timeout left. If we stop them, we likely burn another timeout unless there was an incompletion and then they punt it and we have to go the whole field under a minute with 1 timeout. They couldn’t burn a timeout before the play to set something up as they only had 1. We caught the ball with 42 seconds and started drive at midfield with 3 timeouts and 37 seconds.

If they get the first down, they are close to field goal range with a minute left and a to burn. If we don’t call it, if they get the first down, clock stops briefly and they snap the ball with 35 or so seconds and 1 TO.
