Getting used to the new normal.

I think so. It's a combination of a few things:

- The huge Kelly contract and big buyout.

- Losing some of the top talent in Louisiana to other Unviversities.

-Realization that despite embracing NIL more than any other college in the U.S. it is not going to work out very well for LSU

- 2 more schools coming in with at least 1 of them having almost unlimited NIL resources at their disposal.

- Bullets flying in Baton Rouge making it an undesirable place to let your kids go.

All of this is reflected in attendance that is down and the apparent need to have a DJ at games in hopes to generate some kind of atmosphere I guess.

Slow downward trend.

You do know A&M also has an official DJ right?

Agreed on both parts for the most part. Especially the length and amount of buyout of CBK’s contract
The second part is mostly due to NIL in my opinion, which I address below.

If you read the LSU Recruiting Board, you’ll see that this is not true at all. Some try to downplay our disadvantages, but most know that we can’t keep up playing the game the way others do while paying huge contracts to coaches, upgrading and building facilities, etc.
It’s just unsustainable going back to the same wells over and over again without a lot more deep pockets of alumni and supporters of the program who are willing to step up to the plate. That’s not to take away from the businesses and individuals who do.
If you’re not going to play the game, you can’t win. It’s just how it is for now.

See my last answer.

Never seemed like a problem before
