It's mainly walk throughs when "5 vs 5". They don't go live, scrimmage, or play pick up games during practice. Or they haven't to the auburn game since he's been here. He did make it scholarship players against scholarships players in the "5v5" instead of GAs and assistant coaches, so he is trying to shake things up a bit in that regard.

The majority of practice can be described as a study session with the scouting reports taped to the floor/ wall while running fundamentals drills. Then you have film study and weight lifting (voluntary on game day)

It's more a NBA style practice prep vs a traditional highschool/college practice.

This is most likely why it takes most of the season to see the rotation work it's way out in its own and the team gel completely. Why his teams have done so well in the tourney with a week to prepare vs a day. Why they outperform in the tourney vs the regular season. Why his players are ready for the pros when they are given the chance.

He isn't going to change, it's only a problem this year because the number of quality wins haven't been picked up to lock up a tourney spot as of today. This team can afford a poor sec start or finish like the previous three were able to over come.

Muss may need to dial it back to more fundamental practice with this bunch.
