As for Sanders, Hall said the Arkansas leaders were impressed with him, his enthusiasm, but without recruiting or coaching experience, there was some pause.

Such an Arkansas move

Not one damn person was asking for Sanders even last year.

And in 3 weeks after loss to Oregon and USC, 95% of his hype will be gone.

We hired him because Morris was such a failure that they wanted to go safe. The Brass at Arkansas are scared to take a chance. They can do that because people still go to the games.

Sanders would have been great but it is unfair to think that people would have loved that hire.

Some were confused/upset he was interviewed or taken serious in the first place from what I remember.

Kind of like how we didn't think Gus had the required experience a few times, and then we got to watch his Auburn teams beat us 7 out of 8 times we played.

It's pretty ridiculous. We make coaching hires based on emotions and who kisses the right amount of committee or athletic director arse.

Chad was an anomaly, and the result of allowing a woman to make a coaching hire.

I agree wholeheartedly with this.

not on the prim train myself.

Too much "prime" not enough program. He is an incredible self promoter. And he really hasn't done that much yet...

The hype he brings has brought in the caliber of talent he currently has at colorado.

I really would like to see what happens when things go a bit south with his personality. Scorched earth more than likely.

Kiff wasn't going to come to Arkansas... I just do not believe it. But, whatever. We are where we are, but much better than where we were. What is the next step?
