Wtf is up this don't play the best player because he's a freshman talk?

Plenty of freshman play and make their teams look better than they are.

Tyler Bray, a much less coveted recruit that Kiffin brought in from California balled out as a true freshman with us behind a terrible oline and he had zero scrambling ability but he was just a natural baller with a super quick release, strong arm, great improvising skills and pocket awareness. He was skinny as a stick as well. Bray would have been a beast in college on a good team with a good coach. He definitely had the "it" factor.

Same thing with Dobbs.....you can just see it with both these guys immediately. Literally their furst possessions/offensive series as a Vol.

Don't tell me our oline is too bad and our secondary.

A good QB with that magic "it" factor will nake them all appear and play up to their potential even as a true freshman. Nico is shifty asf and can actually scramble and throw on the run unlike Milton.

I don't think our team believes in Milton at all. As a result they all seem disinterested and apathetic. I call this the Jarret Gaurantanomo effect. It even makes me as a fan feel apathetic.

Yes, our team had a lot of problems last night and it's not all Milton's fault. The oline played like garbage especially, but he is a HUGE part of it.

And he makes he oline play wiese than they are as well because he is so damn indecisive pre snap and with reading the defense.

Our offense literally went from warp speed last year to stuck in the mud this year.

Our offense demands a very confident, decisive and cerebral QB to get everyone lined up correctly as possible to keep the opposing defense on their geels and out of position.

Forget about Milton 's accuracy which is also bad. But his worst attribute is his complete inability to process information quickly enough and make quick decisive decisions at the line of scrimmage.

Milton is not a P5 QB and never will be. A strong arm doesn't mean shite when you have no dog in you snd no football IQ.

And where is hhe never give up frantic desire to win?

I wouldn't even be surprised if Milton plays stoned and high asf. He seems way too non chalant acting about everything out there.

Too bad because he has an NFL arm but a high school level head.

You don’t want to damage him psychologically. He will have PTSD after the first series playing behind that swiss cheese offensive line.

Heupel's cheat code offense has been figured out. We told you it was going to happen.

They said the same thing about Dobbs before he came in against a STOUT Bana defense and completely balled out.

Unfortunately it seems it often takes an injury to get your best players on the field.

I applaud coaches like Spurrier and Saban who are willing to roll the dice to find their best players.

If Heupel stubbornly hokds onto Milton we will lose 5 games at least this year likely nore.

The guy is just really really bad overall. Extremely indecisive, passive, confused looking, very slow release...zero ability to feel the pass rush and step up in the pocket.

Absolutely zero ability to motivate guys around them and make them play better. He doesn't gave "it" and he never will.

A) Josh needs a bigger role in play calling.
B) Hadden needs to sit. See what the other guys can do in game
C) The TEs need a bigger role.

Fix the broken things instead of scapegoating Milton.

If you really believe that then you are delusional.

Our offense does not do what it's designed to do with Milton at QB.

Just look how slow we are to get correctly lined up evry play and get a snap off.

Milton always second guesses himself and looks to the sideline fir help calling a late audible which allows the defense to sub in and get realigned as well.

If Nico was better than Milton don't you think he would be starting? He might be a better QB in time but evidently the coaches who see him practice everyday don't think he's ready.

ETA: LSU fans are guilty of this too with the Daniels/Nuss debate.

Puts Saban in a tough spot. Does he allow the burning of the redshirt so he gains some experience before transferring or does he forbid it and keep that year of eligibility for the Tide?

I don’t know anything about the UT’s roster, but based off of what I saw yesterday, the coaches demand too much from the QB. All these pre snap audibles are hindering his ability to execute the offense. Whenever they just ran the play straight away, they had success.

That falls on the coaches. They have to know what their players’ limitations are and gameplan around their strengths. It looks like they want the QB to take command of an offense that he doesn’t have the mind for.

So that's why i say.... Milton does not fit this offense at all.

Nico is as smart as a whip by all reports. Simplify it some but turn him loose at the same time. Screw all these 5 yards swing oasses to the flat.

Seems obvious to me that Hooker was a product of the receivers he had around him. Now that they are gone, Milton is up a creek without a paddle.

Remember how Milton looked against Clemson?
Jalen Hyatt should have been MVP of last years team.

We had the same players as nuw against Clemson. Even against Clemson he was slow to process the info, zero scrambling and ect. He threw some dimes that game on ghe money for dure but that was one game.

This situation reminds me if gge JG situation so much. Occasionally he will have a decent game and guve you a glimner of hope.

But overall he's just very slow...even sluggish looking out there and looks confused asf and desperately looking towards the sidelines every single snap to Heupel for help.

That’s a lot of words.

Y’all suck. But that’s okay. You weren’t beating Georgia anyway.

The coaching staff decided on Milton for a reason. They either have to help him win and change their process or be willing to let him crash and burn trying to force him in their system.

Both of them did not play against Clemson. Squirrel white and Bru Mcoy valled out against Clemson though.

There is something very wrong right now. Seems like a lockeroom problem in addition to our QB problem. I bet our WRs are praying that Nico pkays because Milton barely gives ghem any real chances downfield. This team is not nearly the same as last year mentally.

If Milton didn't get hurt in 2021 he's been our starting quarterback this whole time over hooker, on paper he has everything you would want as far as tangible skills from a quarterback he just doesn't play very well in games. I don't really know why. I bet the guy is a practice machine
