for the game yesterday? I did see it mentioned on a few posts last night but it was neither confirmed or denied. Boz, do you know anything about this? I just refuse to believe our O line is that bad....I believe there's turmoil on that side of the ball!

If that's the case (turmoil), then everyone of those morbidly obese frickers should have been left in Tampa.

Is the OL too fat?

I don’t believe he was. Saban was just showing everyone that was questioning the qb play that we suck all around and it ain’t just qb.

I expect Milroe to start against ole miss or that Simpson is in a very short leash. I expect talk that it’s still a qb competition and that Milroe performed better this week in paractice. Buchner is done at Alabama for the year unless we have some bad injury luck at the qb position
And I don’t believe there is turmoil on the offensive side of the ball. I just don’t think they are very good all around

Several players on OL are injured.

Milroe was not suspended. If he was saban would've said something.

Take it easy on them, they were just “anxious”

They showed him standing on the sidelines fully dressed out.

I’m glad they’re terrible enough that they’re slipping in the ranks. Kids coming in think they’re automatically allstars just because of the brand. Maybe reality will set in. Sure, they’re making some cash, but that goes away when they find out they’re not getting drafted.

It was complete conjecture

I find it difficult to believe that he was dropped to 3rd on the depth chart off 1 bad game. I get it, he was really ineffective and he isn’t the guy long term most likely. But to go from 100% of the snaps to 0 was shocking.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I didn’t hear it directly but several have mentioned that Ty had the best week of practice this week. But it seems like we knew Buchner was going to start early in the week. If I had to bet, and again I don’t know other than being around a lot of kids close to his age; as soon as he found out he wasn’t starting he sulked up and packed it in for the week. Secondly, if we were giving another guy a chance, and Ty had the best week of practice, why not give him the reps with the ones and let him start? Regardless, it’s pretty clear JM4 wasn’t playing in the game and that decision was made before they got out there.

My question is...Milroe appx 14-17 pts better than Simpson? Because that's about the handicap that Milroe presents
With turnovers. He's going to reduce bama's possessions and give up field position. Much less morale killing and creating overcompensation by other players. I don't think he is better -especially that much better. I could excuse some of the turn overs last year - being new. He's had all spring summer and fall at #1 and he's still a single read QB with out touch
At this point, I don't see anything that proves to me that hasn't progressed beyond the same mistakes as last year.

We don't know how Simpson will react against a team with a real defense either. South Florida is not even close to Texas. Do I have the answers, heck no but don't get too high on Simpson just because he was average at best against a poor USF defense. Heck, milroe had 5 td's against MT.

Thing is neither QB will get better unless they stick with one.

very true, but in 15’s defense, they were blitzing on almost every down because they were able to blow some of the OL over like they were nothing. Other SEC teams will do the same, but maybe getting Booker back will give 15 enough time to actually throw.

And from what I saw, his throws were mostly pretty accurate.

We must've not watched the same game then.

Under extreme duress due to the OL leaving massive gaps and missing assignments, he made a smart throw away, took sacks because there wasn’t another option, and made accurate throws.

Yeah, I watched.

MtSU doesn't count for anything. The bad snap run around end for a TD told me all I needed to know about the talent on D there and then the flat foot throws by Milroe but were TDs .. That's not going to work.
The defensive framework is set for Milroe. Rush 3 and have 4 spy or rush 4 and 3 spy. And live with the possibility of a completion because the percentage isn't really a scare. UT was absolutely not worried about Milroe passing to beat them.
Is Simpson the answer? Not sure it was only USF but then again he's been 3rd string reps ...the pass to dipre was better than Milroe's pass to Jase on the wheel route or the TD he took off the board by making Roydell stop and catch a poorly thrown ball. If we can get someone to read that outlet throw and make it...
But I still think Rees head in palm and Prentice frustrated at a ball 3 yds behind him ... Much less the turnover tendency tell me all I need to know about Milroe

I'm in it for the long haul...whomever coach puts out,and I will be taking my oldest to her first game this wknd.
