Simpson wasn't the starter like Tua wasn't and Coker in his 2nd season at Bama

Saban's MO is he wants the most talented guy to earn the job. He doesn't want to give it to them.

He tried to do the same thing with Blake Barnett but Barnett gave up on himself and transferred.

Saban did the same thing with Rohan Davey at LSU. He made Rohan earn the job over Josh Booty.

But, Texas is an out of conference game that doesn't hinder any team goals.

Puts you behind the 8 ball right off for the playoffs.

I don't think the playoff is an immediate goal Saban has for this team. He's building them into what he wants them to be.

Or maybe he thought the 12 team playoff started this year

Well then we should know the guy who put up a 5/9 for 73 yards and took 5 sacks in one half against a putrid USF team ain't it.

No DC watching the game film from today is even a tiny bit worried about Ty Simpson.

Now explain the utter shite play by the OLine.

Are you fricking saying that Ty is the man but Saban wanted to test him by losing the Texas game and then scoring 3 points against USF?

Fml y’all really are as dumb as i think.

Right there with you. I'm not sure what everyone else saw that we didn't.

I don’t see what they see honestly. The dude had one good pass to the tight end and completed a wide open slant against a terrible defense so he’s our guy now. Lol

He's literally the only QB that can complete a mid-range throw.

Ty Simpson could be Tom Brady, but it won't matter if he is getting sacked 10 times a game

Based on what we saw today, I’d have to say the sample size is limited to one half against a shitty USF defense, but ok.

I don’t know who is what at this point but my god our OL better figure it out. It’s bad.

Idk if Saban is on happy pills or what, but he doesn’t seem concerned at all. I don’t see much improvement to the O line happening. You can’t teach lateral agility, and you can’t condition for it in a week. Maybe he’s just accepted it and wants to keep some morale up for next year.
