I think we have players who can stretch the field, but the coaches are the ones who will fail to do so. We have too much crap stretching the field horizontally rather than vertically. It plays right into defenses who want to crowd the LOS.
Mertz talked about this in his presser. McNeese came out in cover 3 which changed the game plan from stretching the field to running the ball and throwing screens (which worked very effectively). He even said that as soon as they brought the safety up, they dialed up the deep ball to Ricky.
I think this is something we continue to see if teams, for some retarded reason, decide to prioritize taking away our deep ball.

Tennessee hasn't won in Gainesville since 2003. The odds are very good that they don't this weekend.

I want to see a GOOD game, but I will be happy to see an entertaining game.
I am really curious to see how both teams look in this matchup.
The East is still clearly Georgia's to lose but the battle for second looks very interesting.

I think Tennessee wins by 3 TDs or more personally.

Winning in the swamp isn't easy, but our run game is better than last year and so is our defense.... especially our pass rush.
If Milton is just even average we will win by 10 plus.
If he is bad it's a dog fight. If he's good like he was against Clemson, then we win by multiple touchdowns.

Your oline is garbage until proven otherwise.
Bash Milton all you want, but these close rivalry games are always won and lost in the trenches.

Wouldn’t shock me if Florida won. If Joe Milton has a good game, then VOLS cruise but if he has a bad day at the office - Gators could win.
It’s about time for the putrid Gators to put it altogether and upset a team. Let’s gooooo!

Our dline and linebackers are plenty good enough stop your running game without having to load the box and play man coverage imo.

TennRC racked up some nice rushing stats against two putrid teams - let’s see how they do against a better defense
Slow your roll there Kimosobe

This will be the top front 7 you have seen so far. Beasley is the best linebacker you will see so far. We are deep at DL and linebackers. I will always be nervous about our secondary, but I feel like we rush the QB very well and got a very good run defense this year again.

Vols are 4-16 in last 20 vs UF....if Napier doesn't screw it up on offense....UF wins.

Not a chance. Florida is very bad.

We ran all over everyone on our schedule last year too besides UGA maybe. We return all three of our starting backs from last year and they haven't missed a beat.
Oline isn't quite as good but still seems solid.

Tennessee 's biggest weak link is Hadden and the secondary like last year. Our pass rush is the only thing making them look decent stat wise so far.
I don't see Florida running the ball well on us at all unless they can go over the top against Hadden a few plays early.
He had a decent pick last weekend, but overall, he's a huge liability back there.
I just don't see it happening though because we are good enough to stop Florida 's running game without needing putting Hadden abd the others on an island too much.

Who has a higher pass rating than Milton.
Both are bums with a chance to take a leap on Saturday.
