I was a lineman, the bigger point it's not the weigh, but the brightness.
Albino's have more tan on their skin than I do.
Also, shorts are a more modern thing. If you worked outdoor's in the summer (like throwing hay, doing weed control, painting fences, etc. Only the dummies wore clothes that left your skin uncovered.
