I watched Desmond , Pat, Herbstreit all pick Alabama to win the SEC and I believe a couple of them picked Alabama to win the National Championship. Josh Pate picked Alabama to win it all . My question is why ? And I’m not trying to Whine because I get it’s Bama it’s Nick Saban but we have won Back to Back National Championships the First Team in the CFP Era to do so and the the first team to do it Since Alabama Where is the Respect? is it bc they think we cant sustain it? Georgia has been a National Championship Contender ever since Kirby arrived We’ve Played in Three won two of them! I guess I’m asking What else To you gotta do to show them you earned respect to be talked about in being a national championship contender and or winner or a conference winner every year? I just don’t get it.

its tough to 3-peat, hasnt been done the last 17 times a team won back-to-back.
Alabama is Alabama and proven it over many many years they can rebound and produce
UGA also doesnt get a mulligan this year. We have a very very very easy schedule this year. One slip and we are out.
Besides, they are talking heads. Look at the polls, obviously most people think we are #1 and we have respect.

Why does anything in the preseason matter?
Frankly, it is tough for a team to go wire to wire. It really doesn't happen often. It hadn't happened the past 2 seasons.
The best teams get better each week. That is all we have to worry about.

I don’t agree with this. I feel like we’ve gotten our fair share of credit. As IT mentioned, it’s so hard to 3peat. I feel like there are a bunch of people mentioning Bama’s QB question mark and even favoring LSU in the West.
If we don’t win, and Bama does, are our fans gonna come back and state that all the pundits had it right? Of course not
I think there’s also some part of it where you try and be unique with your picks to be a little different than making the easy pick of Georgia.

As long as Saban is coaching at Bama his team will always be the focal point win or lose.
