It might be a hot take but this call was so much better than the kick 6 and the prayer at jhs imo. If the refs hadn't called it back to the one yard line I think it would be the unquestioned GOAT rod call.

The guy was a pro's pro. He even rebounded and the FG call was fine

What a wonderful night that was.

Downtown Auburn was a sight like none other.

My drive from Glendale to Vegas that night was epic as well.

An another note, what the frick is it with being a great Auburn running back? They just cant get their feet under them after they leave. I hope Tank breaks the recent cycle.

Dyer
Mason

So much hope for both of them

I was on a charter bus and that trip back to Vegas truly sucked.

I'd put the Rudi Johnson run against Wyoming up there, but the TV call was bananas too.

Ben Tate had a pretty solid NFL career.

Cameron Artis-Payne had a 4-yr drink of water in the NFL but he never fell off the deep end like Dyer and Mason.

Kerryon Johnson flashed in the NFL but couldn't get over the broken-down body that Gus had left him. Still, a solid guy who didn't go off the deep end.

Barber is still in the league right? Corey Grant was a boss at Jacksonville.

Mike Tirico with a legendary call.

Beatbammer,

There were a couple offseasons KJ couldnt work out at all because of his return from surgery.

The first one was early in his career.

Gus didn't do anything to KJ but get him drafted early.

KJ was simply injury prone

Kerryon Johnson’s injury history goes all the way back to high school where he suffered both left and right shoulder injuries, a sprained MCL and a broken thumb. While in college Johnson suffered injuries to his ribs, hamstring, ankle and, yet again, to his shoulder.

frick OFF

IT was a fun ride through the night to make a 6am flight to Atlanta. Ms Lanier was happy after we went to every game that year except one.

We stopped at the rent a car center, dropped the car off then ran for our flight only to board at the last second. We slept the entire flight only to land in Atlanta to a ice storm

Didnt even care

I was flying from PHX to BNA with a connection in LAS the day after the game. Before I boarded my flight, they said "Mr. jeepbrew, we can get you to Vegas but your flight to Nashville has been cancelled (due to the ice). Or, you can elect to stay here and we'll rebook you on another flight to Nashville at a later date." I'd already spent 4-5 days in Phoenix, so I hopped on the flight to Vegas and spent two more there in the casinos before they got me home. Was a great trip.

I was in Birmingham airport to catch a flight. Ice storm grounded our plane. We were next. A charter flight has just taken off with a bunch of fans.

Those fans got stuck in Charlotte during the storms and connections.

I drove back to Montgomery in the snow storm. Then decided my arse was driving to Auburn for the game celebration later that weekend.

I drove back to Cullman that day to watch the game with my dad. As soon as we finished celebrating I drove back to Auburn at 90+ only hit snow and ice in 5-6 places.

I truly miss that guy. It’s still shocking that he’s gone.

Barber is who made me doubt my NFL scouting abilities more than anyone else. I thought Barber sucked at AU then he was a fantasy relevant back for 3-4 years
