I guess it’s because when I was a kid only 3-4 of your games in any given season were actually televised, and you had to adjust your rabbit ears and hold your mouth just right to see those, that I’m fine with 720p. I don’t need to see the plaque on their teeth or whatever.

As I posted above it goes beyond just the option of having 4K broadcast. They’re stifling innovation and cheaper market incentive options to be created for those that do want to implement it and as the holder of the broadcast rights for the most lucrative broadcast if they don’t have that responsibility who does?
