And yet, we still have some low IQ fans who don’t consider him a good quarterback

Well they are idiots who don't know talent.

He sits #2 & #3 on the season completion % record. 2022 he was at .680 and 2021 he was at .677

He sits #7 & #8 on season passing yds so he will likely have 3 of the top 10 passing yd seasons in school history. In those season records he has 100 less attempts than any of the others ahead of him. He threw it 300 or less times will the guys like Mallet, Wilson, and Allen Bros where throwing it 400 times a season.

but yea he sucks.

It’s really sad that we’ve had one of the best qbs in Arkansas history and his best season so far is only a 9-4 campaign. We should’ve won 8 games last year and should win 10 this year but I know we won’t. Either our offensive line or receivers will be shite, and then either the secondary or linebackers will inexplicably forget how to play the game of football. Hope I’m wrong but we’ve wasted great teams 4 times in the last 10 years. 2014 and 2015 both had a chance at being a 10 win season. 16 could’ve been a 8 or 9 win season too. Then last year as well.

Joe Ferguson played on some bad teams but had better success in the NFL.

Stats don't mean as much when you go 7-5.

agree 100%. All starts upfront. If we get dominant line play we will be fine

To be fair, we drew Georgia as our cross-divisional that year. We play quite literally any other team from the East and we win 10 games. A 10-3 record ties Mallett's best season.

We were also a play away from winning at Ole Miss.

The Auburn loss was the only inexplicable "WTF" game — win or loss — that year. We lost by 2 TDs at home to the worst coach in Auburn history

exactly. If we draw anyone else from the east, and rocket doesn’t fumble against ole miss, we don’t have the hangover that costs us auburn and we’re a one loss team going to a ny6 bowl, but all of those things did happen becauses frick Arkansas that’s why

I'll be a bitter old fart and say that if Houston Nutt had been a bit more forward thinking Jones would have had more TDs in his career and might have challenged for a Heisman.

That having been said, KJ is the better overall QB between the two.

If he would have given up his duties as OC and get a good QB coach.

That was just a dream.

No need to get all of that going. KJ has been a good to great QB for us, and has sacrificed his health several times for success on the field. Pointing out the issues with his game does not mean you aren't a fan. It just means you look at facts. Like the fact that Tyler Wilson started a total of 24 games in his Razorback career.

Wilson and Mallett both didn't play long enough.

Thank goodness KJ only has 2 more starts to this point and is with Wilson and Mallet in the record books. And let’s not forget the crap show KJ started out with. Not like he walked into a top 20 system like the other two. At this point in his career, which is equal to that or TW and RM, he’s better. He’s done it without that crazy talent Petrino pulled in.

Petrino brought in talent but not crazy NFL level.

It was above average by Arkansas standards.

He has 3 more starts, and is almost 2000 yards short of TW. I sincerely hope he breaks Wilson's record this year, but he will have done in 3 years what TW did in 2. The yound man has played his guts out for us, and I appreciate the hell out of his talent and tenacity, but unless this year is special I'm not putting him in the ranks above TW, RM, or BA.

Bingo. KJ is a good QB but he's not the best we've ever had and there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm excited as hell to see him under Enos, though. If he can work his BA magic a 2nd time we're in great shape this year.

What sucks is we will probably still play a schedule where 7 of the 12 teams we play have more talent than we do. Even after the shite show of the past 2 years auburn still out talents us as does Florida and Mississippi state. We have got to step up on the recruiting trail which it looks like Pittman is doing. I can understand being behind lsu alabama, and even Texas A&M in recruiting, but being behind ole miss and Mississippi state is unacceptable. We can recruit on that level, if not on the level of an auburn which is around 15/20.

The only team on the schedule that is obviously more talented than Arkansas is Bama.

LSU is but the gap is small.

A&M is the most overrated team in the west. If they were that good then they would beat Bama and LSU more. They wouldn't be going 5-7.

Auburn is average to slightly above average. They are very beatable. Not much difference in talent level.

State is very average and on par with Arkansas.

Ole Miss is average and on par with Arkansas
