His retirement had to be planned to some extent, right? I feel like Bama would have already had their guy picked out, but I don’t know how all that works. Basically I’m expecting a quick decision and for the next HC announcement not to take too long?

But didn’t Kiffin always say it would be a stupid move to be Sabans immediate successor? The expectations for the next guy will be higher than what Alabama has done over the last four years.
