Number one ranked class right now, but it can always change.

Ah, I see you’re yet another Mizzery fan that lurks on Hogville.

I can count on one hand how many times I have been to Hogville in probably the past year. The only reason I go there is to see if Arky insiders have any info on players both Mizzou and Arkansas are recruiting. Case in point, I was there today to see if Arkansas insiders were saying the same things about Boateng as Mizzou insiders regarding him being a priority for the Arkansas staff (they were).

Admit it. You go there because you have this unfounded hatred for Arkansas and the made up “rivalry “ and you want to see what our fans are saying. The so called “insider information “ is just a bonus.

LMAO, I don't really care what the guy with like 10 posts in this thread over a span of like 4 hours since Annor committed to Mizzou believes about my motivation for going to Hogville.

Ok? Whatever you say, Arkansas fan who is spam-posting in a thread about a Mizzou commit.

I do think Muss has been focused on other targets. Could be because Muss liked them more. Could be because he got the sense Boateng was going be tough to get a commit out of. Could be a combination of both.

I think he'll be a good player for Mizzou. I'm also not worried at all about the roster Muss puts together

Because he’s “from” Arkansas and we all know you Mizzery fans are trying to boast about it and hold it over our heads. Anyway, congrats I guess but Muss and Arkansas gonna get ours. Already started with 2024 top 35 Jalen Shelley.

I for one DGAF where he’s from. Gates wanted this dude and got him. Nothing else matters. If Muss wanted, didn’t want…don’t care, great pick up for Mizzou regardless. Cheers friends!

Yeah I mean the Arkansas 247 board has made it clear we were after Elohim harder for quite a while.

Either way both schools end up with really good players.

I just don't see how Arkansas doesn't try their hardest to take a kid this good from the state.

We definitely tried. I don't know about our hardest.

If you understand the level we've been recruiting at, it makes more sense. For some perspective Muss signed 5 top 50 guys in the last two classes, 4 ranked higher than Boateng. We've been finalists for a couple other elite recruits.

If you're Muss, you're in a position where you're likely to be able to attract multiple top 50 recruits every year. Add on to this the fact that he actually prefers transfers and is historically one of the best transfer recruiters out there, you can understand why he starts being more selective with HS recruits.

Again, doesn't mean Boateng isn't going to be great for you guys. But if he came to visit and Muss realized it was going to take a lot to get him (NIL, time, whatever), and he's got another guy (Passmore) that he likes about the same, you can see why Muss would back off some.

I think he regrets taking as many HS recruits last year as we did. Derrian Ford, for example, was a top 80 prospect. Barely saw the court and then was probably told to leave. That scholarship could've been used better somewhere else.

Well Missouri is happy to gain the relationship at the HS, if Muss doesn't want it.

Central doesn't produce much anymore, sadly. Boateng is the only significant prospect to come out of there in ~20 years. Parkview and North Little Rock are the schools in the area you'd want in on

Except Missouri isn’t going to just waltz in and take any Arkansas kid that Muss wants. Boateng was just a special case.

Annor Boateng isn't a Arky native. He's only been living there a few years.

Where’d you see that? I found an interview where he says he’s lived in Arkansas since before he turned 1

quote:

Pro Insight: Can you tell the audience a bit about your background?

K. Annor Boateng: Well, I was born in Ohio and lived there for eight months, and then I moved to Arkansas. I did not start playing basketball until about second grade, and the only reason I picked it up was because my older brother played it, so might as well. It was really fun. As I got better, I joined the Arkansas Hawks in that summer of second grade and started playing school ball for my elementary school, and those helped me develop when I was really young.

Source: Prospective Insight (never heard of them but I don’t see why they’d make up an interview) LINK

You are correct and that's what I get for listening to Rock M Nation who said that he recently moved to Arky and Mizzou should have a better chance of getting him because of that.
