18 mins from the open practice

If you watch this and think Jalen isn’t the starter you’ve got a biased opinion. Jalen is going to start and he’s going to win the Heisman.

I’m not trolling. I’ve been saying this since last year.

You can’t like Milroe here. I learned this the hard way.

I’m pretending not to now.

What was it that convinced you? The near interception thrown to number 9 or the actual interception that he threw? Maybe you were convinced by the throw he made while rolling out after the play was dead and the db's had gone to half speed.

We look like straight arse in this video. Jalen stares every receiver down. Buchner- ok, lonegran- good, Holstein- good. I know they are in shells but 0 under center snaps. This offense better be different than last year.

Buchner threw about 7 passes in the dirt in front of the receiver. How is that ok? ??

I don’t think any of them looked that great in that video.

It’s an open practice and the offense was basically vanilla, not going to show much in an open practice but that defense looked pissed off

I agree 100%.

You know how they say "When you have 2 QBs, you've got no QB"?
Well in our case we have 5 QBs and no QB. This is a fricking mess. The fact that we're even repping 5 QBs throughout fall camp is a bad sign.

Perhaps even worse than our QB situation is the WR position. On the rare occasion that one of our QBs throws a nice pass, it bounces off their hands EVERY SINGLE TIME. Can we put some glue on their gloves or something? Bond breaks open deep, perfect pass from Milroe - drop. Ty Simpson throws a nice 20 yard bullet to a streaking Kendrick Law in stride - drop. Nice pass to Brooks in traffic, hit in the hands - drop - interception.

I don't. get it. I'm at a loss

Here's my breakdown of the QBs in order from best to worst:

1a Milroe - He is what we think he is. He flashes ability. He's not entirely inaccurate. Obviously dangerous runner. Processing is really slow. Might be our best bet because he can at least run.

1b Ty Simpson - Probably our best passing option. He can zip a pass over the middle. He struggles on the deep ball. Good at processing. Good runner. Really inconsistent.

Eli Holstein - This kid showed some flashes. He's a quick runner, and has nice zip on his throws. He might be someone to keep an eye on as far as developing down the road.

Bucher - It might be time to close the book on this experiment. Maybe he'll develop with more time, but he's not gonna win the job to start the season. Just didn't show anything worth mentioning.

Dylan Longeran - I'm sorry but the most I can say for this kid is that MAYBE he can develop into an SEC-level QB one day but he's not even close right now.

Last night you said:
Buchner winning the job is the best case scenario in my opinion

Yeah those statements aren't contradictory.
Buchner is a really tough, fast runner, and has decent zip on his passes. I was just saying that if he were able to beat out Milroe and Simpson, that would be a good thing, because that would mean he was better.

After seeing him, I'm not saying he won't ever start, but right now he's too far behind to win the job to start the season.

Texas game week starts in 3 weeks, and our WRs are dropping everything, and we're giving FIVE different QBs full reps because none of them look solid right now.

Our best bet might be the Gus Malzahn Nick Marshall offense, and just let Milroe run or fake the run on every play.

Idk. It's not looking good. We're gonna need our defense to play like it's 2016

I’m not sure it’s that bad. The WR’s have done well today in the scrimmage

Did Richard Young pull his hamstring a few play’s before the clip ended?
