Sunbelt Billy is not going to be the guy that takes down LSU. And your baseball team is trash too. Jac Caglione needs to never pitch again… he’s not Ohtani

The original emancipation proclamation was a great PR stunt but nothing else.
It was the equivalent of if Joe Biden made crystal meth illegal in North Korea.
Lincoln’s speech effectively did nothing, if freed zero slaves, it was a speech made to keep Europe from entering the war (they had no interest in doing so). The long reaching effect has fooled the simple into believing the war was ever about slavery. That’s it. A cheap PR stunt.
And yet it was still more profound than the OPs post.

That's nice, but as of right now, you're owned by UF overall and also owned by UF in Baton Rouge.

It was, at least in part, about slavery. Every state in the Confederacy issued an “Article of Secession” declaring their break from the Union. And every one of them defended the institution of slavery.

LSU has owned UF since that Burrow pick 6 in the Swamp. It sucks but it is what it is.

That's nice and all, doesn't change the fact that you don't "own" someone when you not only have a losing record to them overall but a losing record to them at home.

Not all slave states left the union, and the north went out of its way time and time again both domestically and in foreign policy to make sure everyone knew they were not fighting about slavery.
