Went from little to no chance of surviving to immediately becoming a super conference in less than 6 months . I always knew they would make it but just imagine what real leadership looks like and doesn’t look like (Dan Beebe).

You're right.
Of XII, PAC, & ACC - many had them out 1st.

Yeah, you gotta hand it to the Big 12 for coming out of this like they have.

At the same time we have to point our fingers at the previous PAC 12 Commish for destroying that conference.

We had no doubt we would survive.

I’m ready to beat your asses on homecoming.

Not surviving might've been the better outcome. Nobody gives a shite about any of those teams during football season. They're dead, they just bought a little time.

You could say the same for B1G going against "the alliance" of poaching each other.

I knew PAC would fold first because they don’t give a shite about football out there

B12 fans give a shite

Super conference is extreme...big 12 is nowhere near the sec or big ten in terms of football, it's not even acc level, the only reason it even seems stable is bc no one wants the teams left in it. If the acc gor can hold up the big 12 is fourth in conference hierarchy. It was fifth the death of the pac 12 is why the big 12 is fourth

Everyone is talking like the Big 12 is a powerful conference but they still dont have a single marquee name that can drive national interest. Having said that, the parity and willingness to play any time anywhere will make them a fun league, much like the old big east back in the early 2000s. Literally anyone could win that conference in any given year. It will be a consistently overrated league that puts crap teams into top 4 seeds in the playoffs unfortunately though.

Ironically it was Texas' refusal to equal revenue sharing and refusal to give up the LHN that saved the Big 12 in 2010.

Exactly. Any of their teams would take a B10 or SEC invite but it won’t ever come. Even the crumbling Pac 12 didn’t want any Big 12 teams. Stability and a decent tv deal doesn’t magically make them a power conference. It is the leftover conference.
